摘要:This article is concerned with the leader-follower consensus tracking problem for multiagent systems with nonholonomic high-order chained-form dynamics subject to external disturbances. A novel distributed and bounded observer is first developed for each follower to estimate the leader information in a finite time. Then, a bounded fast terminal sliding-mode control protocol is constructed for each follower to track the estimated leader's states leading to the fast convergence performance as we...

摘要:In this article, we consider a least-squares (LS)-based distributed algorithm build on a sensor network to estimate an unknown parameter vector of a dynamical system, where each sensor in the network has partial information only but is allowed to communicate with its neighbors. Our main task is to generalize the well-known theoretical results on the traditional LS to the current distributed case by establishing both the upper bound of the accumulated regrets of the adaptive predictor and the c...

摘要:We present the online Newton's method, a single-step second-order method for online nonconvex optimization. We analyze its performance and obtain a dynamic regret bound that is linear in the cumulative variation between round optima. We show that if the variation between round optima is limited, the method leads to a constant regret bound. In the general case, the online Newton's method outperforms online convex optimization algorithms for convex functions and performs similarly to a specializ...

摘要:In this article, a Bernstein polynomial approach is first applied to the estimation of reachable set for a class of periodic piecewise polynomial systems, whose subsystems are time-varying and can be expanded to Bernstein polynomial forms. A lemma on the negativity/positivity for a class of Bernstein polynomial matrix functions is presented, which can provide a feasible set larger than that by the existing method. Based on the integration of the presented lemma and the theory of matrix polynom...

摘要:We consider convex and nonconvex constrained optimization with a partially separable objective function: Agents minimize the sum of local objective functions, each of which is known only by the associated agent and depends on the variables of that agent and those of a few others. This partitioned setting arises in several applications of practical interest. We propose what is, to the best of our knowledge, the first distributed, asynchronous algorithm with rate guarantees for this class of pro...

摘要:Value functions derived from Markov decision processes arise as a central component of algorithms as well as performance metrics in many statistics and engineering applications of machine learning. Computation of the solution to the associated Bellman equations is challenging in most practical cases of interest. A popular class of approximation techniques, known as temporal difference (TD) learning algorithms, are an important subclass of general reinforcement learning methods. The algorithms ...

摘要:In this article, our objective is to develop novel passivity-based control techniques by introducing a new passivity concept named Krasovskii passivity. As a preliminary step, we investigate the properties of Krasovskii passive systems and establish relations among four relevant passivity concepts including Krasovskii passivity. Then, we develop novel dynamic controllers based on Krasovskii passivity and based on shifted passivity.

摘要:In this article, the H-infinity problem of nonlinear descriptor systems (NDSs) is investigated. For regular or nondescriptor systems, this problem can be solved via the event-triggered control law. But this control law may be ineffective for the same problem of descriptor systems. The reason is that the discontinuity of the event-triggered controller will cause sudden failure of the algegbraic part of descriptor systems at each triggering instant. From the perspective of mathematics, the algeb...

摘要:In this article, we generalize previously reported results for linear, time-invariant, stabilizable multivariable systems described by a strictly proper transfer function matrix P(s) with number of outputs greater than or equal to the number of inputs. By making use of a special kind of a left generalized inverse P(s)(alpha)(circle plus) a of P(s), we define and examine the equivalent relation R relating P(s) with the members of the equivalence class [P(s)](R) of the closed loop-transfer funct...

摘要:This article deals with the backstepping design of observer-based compensators for parabolic ODE-PDE-ODE systems. The latter consist of n coupled parabolic PDEs with distinct diffusion coefficients and spatially-varying coefficients, that are bidirectionally coupled to ODEs at both boundaries. The actuation and sensing appears through these ODEs resulting in a challenging control problem. For this setup a systematic backstepping approach is proposed, in order to determine a state feedback cont...
