摘要:In part I we considered the problem of convergence to a saddle point of a concave-convex function in C-2 via gradient dynamics and an exact characterization was given to their asymptotic behavior. In part II we consider a general class of subgradient dynamics that provide a restriction in a convex domain. We show that despite the nonlinear and nonsmooth character of these dynamics their omega-limit set is comprised of solutions to only linear ODEs. In particular, we show that the latter are so...

摘要:The article deals with the stabilization of nonlinear systems in which the loop is closed over a lossy nonacknowledged communication network. Given a regional input-to-state (ISS) stabilizing state-feedback control law, designed without accounting for the network-induced delays, we propose a nonacknowledged communication policy that allows to deploy the above controller over the network without any modification, while preserving the regional ISS property. The time-varying delays and packet dro...

摘要:Large-size populations consisting of a continuum of identical and noncooperative agents with stochastic dynamics are useful in modeling various biological and engineered systems. This article addresses the stochastic control problem of designing optimal state-feedback controllers that guarantee the closed-loop stability of the stationary density of such agents with nonlinear Langevin dynamics, under the action of their individual steady-state controls. We represent the corresponding coupled fo...

摘要:This article considers the finite-time adaptive control problem of nonlinear systems with quantized input signal. Compared with existing results, the quantized parameters are unknown and the bound of the disturbance is not required. By utilizing the command filter backstepping method, an adaptive switching-type controller is designed and a novel switching mechanism is also proposed. By regulating the controller parameters online, practical finite-time stability can be guaranteed for the closed...

摘要:Sliding mode control is a widely used approach in different application domains, due to its versatility and ease of implementation. As is well known, one of its most serious drawbacks is the presence of chattering. To alleviate this problem, higher order sliding mode (HOSM) approaches have been proposed, which also allow dealing with high relative degree plants. To gain more flexibility in the controller design and to boost performance, switched and variable-gain approaches are being developed...

摘要:This article is concerned with moving-horizon state estimation problems for a class of discrete-time linear dynamic networks. The signals are transmitted via noisy network channels and distortions can be caused by channel noises. As such, the binary encoding schemes, which take advantages of the robustness of the binary data, are exploited during the signal transmission. More specifically, under such schemes, the original signals are encoded into a bit string, transmitted via memoryless binary...

摘要:We consider the distributed weight balancing problem in networks of nodes that are interconnected via directed edges, each of which admits a positive integer weight. A digraph with positive integer weights on its edges is weight balanced if, for each node, the sum of the weights of the incoming edges equals the sum of the weights of the outgoing edges. In this article, we develop a distributed iterative algorithm, which solves the integer weight balancing problem in the presence of arbitrary (...

摘要:This article proposes a novel information-theoretic joint probabilistic data association filter for tracking unknown number of targets. The proposed information-theoretic joint probabilistic data association algorithm is obtained by the minimization of a weighted reverse Kullback-Leibler divergence to approximate the posterior Gaussian mixture probability density function. Theoretical analysis of mean performance and error covariance performance with ideal detection probability is presented to...

摘要:Goal-driven selective attention (GDSA) refers to the brain's function of prioritizing the activity of a task-relevant subset of its overall network to efficiently process relevant information while inhibiting the effects of distractions. Despite decades of research in neuroscience, a comprehensive understanding of GDSA is still lacking. We propose a novel framework using concepts and tools from control theory as well as insights and structures from neuroscience. Central to this framework is an...

摘要:This article proposes a design approach, based on the integral sliding mode control paradigm, devoted to give robustness to multiagent systems executing arbitrary distributed optimization and consensus protocols which do not take this feature into account. Robustness is understood as the capability of rejecting the effect of exogenous disturbances, parameter uncertainties, and uncertain couplings between the agents dynamics, by achieving the same emerging behavior as that corresponding to a re...
