摘要:The controllability of networks comprising linearly coupled identical subsystems is examined from a modal perspective. The eigenvalues of the network model are classified into the following two groups based on the subsystem structure:network-invariant modes, which have very high multiplicity regardless of the network's topology; and special-repeat modes, which have bounded multiplicity. In this article, we demonstrate that models with network-invariant modes are uncontrollable unless a suffici...

摘要:This article addresses the problem of controlling discrete-time linear time-invariant systems with parametric uncertainties in the presence of hard state and input constraints. A suitably designed gradient-descent-based indirect adaptive controller, used to handle parametric uncertainties, is combined with a model predictive control (MPC) algorithm, which guarantees constraint satisfaction. An estimated model of the actual uncertain plant is used for predictions of the future states. The param...

摘要:Competitive noncooperative online decision-making agents whose actions increase congestion of scarce resources constitute a model for widespread modern large-scale applications. To ensure sustainable resource behavior, we introduce a novel method to steer the agents toward a stable population state, fulfilling the given coupled resource constraints. The proposed method is a decentralized resource pricing method based on the resource loads resulting from the augmentation of the game's Lagrangia...

摘要:This article deals with the backstepping design of observer-based compensators for parabolic ODE-PDE-ODE systems. The latter consist of n coupled parabolic PDEs with distinct diffusion coefficients and spatially-varying coefficients, that are bidirectionally coupled to ODEs at both boundaries. The actuation and sensing appears through these ODEs resulting in a challenging control problem. For this setup a systematic backstepping approach is proposed, in order to determine a state feedback cont...

摘要:In this article, we deal with the consensus problem of multiple partial-state coupled linear systems, which are neutrally stable. These systems communicate over dynamic undirected networks, which change continuously and can be disconnected at any time. We develop an analysis framework from uniform complete observability theory to work out the necessary and sufficient conditions for exponential consensus. It turns out that, with a suitably designed feedback matrix, exponential consensus can be ...

摘要:We consider feedback control systems where sensor readings may be compromised by a malicious attacker intending on causing damage to the system. We study this problem at the supervisory layer of the control system, using discrete event systems techniques. We assume that the attacker can edit the outputs from the sensors of the system before they reach the supervisory controller. In this context, we formulate the problem of synthesizing a supervisor that is robust against the class of edit atta...

摘要:Asynchronous stochastic approximations (SAs) are an important class of model-free algorithms, tools, and techniques that are popular in multiagent and distributed control scenarios. To counter Bellman's curse of dimensionality, such algorithms are coupled with function approximations. Although the learning/control problem becomes more tractable, function approximations affect stability and convergence. In this article, we present verifiable sufficient conditions for stability and convergence o...

摘要:This article studies a class of multirobot coordination problems where a team of robots aim to reach their goal regions with minimum time and avoid collisions with obstacles and other robots. A novel numerical algorithm is proposed to identify the Pareto optimal solutions where no robot can unilaterally reduce its traveling time without extending others'. The consistent approximation of the algorithm in the epigraphical profile sense is guaranteed using set-valued numerical analysis. Experimen...

摘要:For a Boolean network with disturbances and outputs, a necessary and sufficient graphic condition for the original disturbance decoupling is proposed, and it reveals that the outputs are unaffected by the disturbances if and only if the vertex-colored state transition graph has a concolorous perfect vertex partition (CP-VP). In addition, if the CP-VP is an equal partition, a corresponding system decomposition is implemented. Furthermore, an algorithm is designed to check the existence of a CP-...

摘要:In this article, we present an adaptive decentralized control scheme for a class of interconnected uncertain systems with subsystems having different yet unknown control directions and involving static nonlinear interactions as well as input and output dynamic interactions. A new form of K-filters is designed for each subsystem, and only local information is employed to generate control signals. A new Nussbaum-type function is developed with a key property that allows for the quantification of...
