摘要:Online volunteering platforms allow humanitarian organizations (HOs) to recruit volunteers to work remotely on projects of varying urgency. While removing time and space constraints enables HOs to scale up their volunteer force, HOs must manage greater heterogeneity in volunteers' experience. 摘要:We consider a multi-item buyer's make versus buy decision. The buyer sells two substitutable products with uncertain demand. Each product requires a different item, which the buyer procures from two separate suppliers (one for each item) who offer quantity-payment contracts under asymmetric information. 摘要:Our research question is motivated by a real problem faced by an existing demand aggregator. The aggregator represents multiple advertisers, each of whom signs one of two types of contracts with the aggregator for bidding on an RTB (real-time bidding) platform. 摘要:In this paper, we examine a data-driven optimization approach to making optimal decisions as evaluated by a trained random forest, where these decisions can be constrained by an arbitrary polyhedral set. We model this optimization problem as a mixed-integer linear program. We show this model can be solved to optimality efficiently using pareto-optimal Benders cuts for ensembles containing a modest number of trees. 摘要:We consider an inventory system with Poisson demand arrivals arising from multiple classes. Restocking epochs are specified by a given sequence. At each epoch, we can place an order for any number of items for immediate delivery.
