摘要:The idea that the firm should be accountable not only to shareholders but also to a broader set of stakeholders is in the air. But what would such a firm look like? This study dissects one organization that has some of the markings of a stakeholder organization, with a particularly innovative approach to employees as stakeholders. The dissection reveals some of the promise and the pitfalls of the underlying model.

摘要:In this paper I claim that organizational routines have a great potential for change even though they are often perceived, even defined, as unchanging. I present descriptions of routines that change as participants respond to outcomes of previous iterations of a routine. 摘要:Whereas most prior research on the learning curve has focused on improvements in efficiency, this paper deals with the impact of learning on product quality. The key data are measures of automobile reliability published in Consumer Reports. 摘要:This paper explores the tension between two opposite views on how networks create social capital. Network closure (Coleman 1988) stresses the role of cohesive ties in fostering a normative environment that facilitates cooperation.
