摘要：The concept of absorptive capacity (AC) of firms (Cohen and Levinthal 1989 and 1990) is a foundational feature of organizational learning and adaptation that has had enormous influence in international business (IB), and innovation studies and management research in general. 摘要：This study explains and tests the effects of country-level institutions on the distribution of centrality rents between two sets of actors in an interorganizational network. Building on the literature on corporate elites, we propose that a cohesive elite following organizational logics other than profit-maximization diverts centrality rents and induces costs on firms, and that macro institutions act as external governance mechanisms to shape this relationship. 摘要：Do cross-country differences in labor regulations shape (1) acquiring firms' announcement returns and post-acquisition profits, costs, and revenues from cross-border deals, (2) the selection of cross-border targets, or (3) the success rates of cross-border offers? 摘要：This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of voting bias in the Eurovision Song Contest as a means of capturing societal affinity. More than 180 million viewers from more than 40 countries watch the Eurovision Song Contest every year and vote for their favorite songs. 摘要：Host-country terrorism poses extreme uncertainty to MNEs' foreign operations. However, little is known about how MNEs respond to host-country terrorist attacks and how they make the related decisions.
