The UNESCO practical guide on the integration of AI in TVET helps institutions harness the potential of AI with a clear understanding of its impact, limitations and risks.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming part of everyday life and the fast-evolving world of work. This is creating a gap between how people already use AI and the formal training required to do so ethically and effectively. Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions need to prepare learners for changing occupational tasks and skill demands, as well as making informed decisions about AI use within institutional practice.
Developed by UNESCO-UNEVOC, in collaboration with Shenzhen Polytechnic University and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, the practical guide supports TVET institutions in adopting a coherent approach to AI integration that keeps educational purpose, human agency, equity and safety at the centre.
The launch webinar was held in English, with Chinese, French and Spanish interpretation.
