This international event will bring together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and youth around the theme:
“Youth and Digital Transformation – Global Priority Africa and South-South Cooperation.”
The event will highlight the central role of youth in digital transformation, as well as the potential of Artificial Intelligence to accelerate sustainable development in Africa and strengthen cooperation among countries of the Global South.
Conference programme
The day will include:
- A high-level panel bringing together African Ministers, UNESCO Assistant Director-General, the CEO of CODEMAO and a representative of the President of the Korea advanced institute of Science and Technolology (KAIST).
Roundtable discussions on strengthening human capabilities for AI and emerging tech in Africa and Asia
Sessions dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship in Artificial Intelligence , as well as research capacity and innovation ecosystems for emerging technologies
African Youth Voices, where youth will share the outcomes of strategic foresight workshops on the impacts of IA and digital technologies on education and entrepreneurship in Africa
Youth Trainings on Coding and AI for African and Asian students, organized in the framework of the UNESCO-CODEMAO, Youth Coding Initiative
Partnerships and Innovation
A technology exhibition area will showcase innovations in robotics and artificial intelligence developed by companies such as DOBOT and Unitree Robotics.
