An analysis of Spearman and Holzinger''s work on the sampling errors of tetrads. The authors conclude that Spearman and Holzinger''s approximate formulae lead to serious errors, that the distribution of tetrads is not likely to follow a normal curve, and that the hypothesis of a general factor in intelligence is not proved.
