The Australian natives belong to only 2 closely allied racial types, one probably confined to the Northern Territory and differing from the 2nd in having a smaller brain case and slightly different proportions of height to length and breadth. The Tasmanian skulls are quite widely differentiated from the Australian. The measurements do not support the view that the 2 races are ultra primitive as compared with all other modern races.
