A method using 3 selected points and a graphic method are described for fitting a modified exponential curve. y = k + abx; the Gompertz curve, y = kAbx; and the Logistic, [image]. The graphic method consists of obtaining a trial value for the upper asymptotic value k, plotting a curve on semi-log, paper and adjusting k by iteration to obtain a straight line trend. For the Logistic this method is less laborious than Pearl''s method only when the lower asymptote is zero.
