摘要:An estimator is proposed for the convolution of distribution functions, based on samples with some right-censored observations. The asymptotic variance of the estimator is calculated and the method is illustrated with a set of cancer data [i.e., Hodgkin''s disease].

摘要:The paper presents a large sample method for estimating the slope parameter in a linear model by minimizing a loss function related to the empirical cumulant generating function of the error distribution. 摘要:A simple method of obtaining asymptotic expansions for the densities of sufficient estimators is described. It is an extension of the one developed by Barndorff-Nielsen and Cox (1979) for exponential families. A series expansion in powers of n-1 is derived of which the 1st term has an error of order n-1 which can effectively be reduced to n-3/2 by renormalization. 摘要:The exact distribution of the likelihood ratio statistic for testing the equality of p 1-parameter exponential populations is obtained in a computational form. 摘要:Two-parameter families of ratio-type and product-type estimators are proposed for a finite population mean based on simple random samples of observations on the variable of interest and a concomitant variable. The families contain estimators which have lower mean square error in practical situations than the usual ratio, product and sample mean estimators.
