摘要:This article considers a control problem of discrete-time multiple-input multiple-output linear systems involving input quantization (for the output of the controller) and output quantization (for the output of the plant). Based on spherical polar coordinate quantizer, a quantization method with finite data rate is proposed for handling the nested quantization and achieving the convergence to the origin of the system with input and output quantization. Further, an optimalization problem is dev...

摘要:This note proposes a novel decentralized/decomposed design of distributed observers for general continuous-time linear time invariant systems. Each observer can only observe a portion of the system. By transforming the system to a real Jordan canonical form, an observability decomposition is performed based on Popov-Belevitch-Hautus test. Each observer reconstructs observable states from its local measurements. The unobservable states are reconstructed relying on a communication network, by vi...

摘要:Differential graphical games model the interaction between networked dynamical agents that do not possess global state information available. In general, this lack of global information prevents the agents from playing their optimal Nash strategies. In this article, two different solution concepts for graphical games are proposed as practical alternatives when Nash equilibrium is not attainable among the players. The proposed solutions consider the case on which the players make optimistic ass...

摘要:When the communication weight has a short range, the distance between agents could tend to infinity for some initial conditions, which leads to the nonexistence of well-studied flocking behavior in the Cucker-Smale model with (or without) nonlinear velocity couplings. To control the distance, it is natural to consider this model with pairwise attractive potentials. Therefore, this note investigates the Cucker-Smale model with nonlinear velocity couplings and attractive potentials. When the att...

摘要:Decentralized optimization, particularly the class of decentralized composite convex optimization (DCCO) problems, has found many applications. Due to ubiquitous communication congestion and random dropouts in practice, it is highly desirable to design decentralized algorithms that can handle stochastic communication networks. However, most existing algorithms for DCCO only work in networks that are deterministically connected during bounded communication rounds, and therefore, cannot be exten...

摘要:Distributed optimization enables networked agents to cooperatively solve a global optimization problem. Despite making significant inroads, most existing results on distributed optimization rely on noise-free information sharing among the agents, which is problematic when communication channels are noisy, messages are coarsely quantized, or shared information are obscured by additive noise for the purpose of achieving differential privacy. The problem of information-sharing noise is particular...

摘要:In this article, we address the constrained output estimation of discrete-time linear distributed parameter systems in the presence of plant and measurement disturbances. Sufficient conditions are proposed for the strong stability of the proposed moving horizon estimator. We further show that the discrete-time estimation results can be linked to continuous-time infinite-dimensional systems described by partial differential equations with unbounded disturbance and output operators by using the ...

摘要:Aiming to provide better compensation to discrete time (or, sampled-data), multivariable, linear time-invariant (LTI) plants that have nonminimum phase zeros, this article proposes a 2-rate, 2-degree-of-freedom, dynamic output feedback controller. Employing the lifting technique that may convert a 2-periodic system to a time-invariant form, it is shown that, under certain conditions, the equivalent LTI plant becomes a minimum-phase one. Consequently, an H8/loop-transfer-recovery-based LTI appr...

摘要:This article studies the identification problem of linear systems from a set of noisy input-output trajectories. The problem is formulated and solved as a least-square regularized estimate on a suitable function space of finite-bandwidth operators. This abstract setting is well suited to represent a broad class of finite- and infinite-dimensional linear systems. We determine the value of the regularization parameter as a function of the amount of noise on the learning trajectories and we show ...

摘要:This article considers the problem of eavesdropping on remote state estimation. Linear encryption strategies are used to protect the transmitted data. Two types of data transmission are considered: raw measurements generated by traditional sensors as well as innovations generated by smart sensors. For these two transmission scenarios, the encryption coefficients are obtained by formulating different optimization problems, with the target of maximizing the eavesdropper's estimation error covari...
