摘要:Warehouse club (WC) retailers have typically expanded to new markets using stand-alone stores, rather than pursuing dense store networks as other (non-WC) retailers have in the past. 摘要:We examine a model in which a supplier sells products through an online platform and an offline retailer under conditions of demand uncertainty. 摘要:We examine the impact of consumer search from the perspective of revenue-maximizing optimal auction design. In this two-sided market, advertisers are endowed with privately known qualities, and consumers incur heterogeneous search costs when clicking on advertisements displayed by the search engine. 摘要:We develop a dynamic model to study the systemic risk of the banking network, so as to study the dynamics of bank defaults. In contrast to the existing literature, we show that while the possibility of contagion is determined by interconnectedness of the financial network, whether a financial crisis can occur depends on the profile of the liquid assets of the banks in the system. 摘要:We examine a (large) manufacturer's bribery decision (to bribe or not to bribe) arising from a procurement auction under disparate corruption pressure when another (small) manufacturer is known to offer the auctioneer (i.e., the intermediary) a bribe in exchange for the right of first refusal. 摘要:We consider the role of online dispute resolution (ex-post guarantees of supplier quality) when introduced in the presence of an online reputation system (an ex-ante informational mechanism), in the context of online service procurement platforms.
