摘要：Generating valid synthetic instances for branch problems-those that contain a core problem like knapsack or graph coloring, but add several complications-is hard. 摘要：We develop new algorithmic approaches to compute provably near-optimal policies for multiperiod stochastic lot-sizing inventory models with positive lead times, general demand distributions, and dynamic forecast updates. The policies that are developed have worst-case performance guarantees of 3 and typically perform very close to optimal in extensive computational experiments. 摘要：We consider the classical single-product dynamic pricing problem allowing the scale of demand intensity to be modulated by an exogenous market size stochastic process. This is a natural model of dynamically changing market conditions.
