摘要：Cybersecurity risk is a growing concern for public companies as economic activity increasingly relies on technology. Drawing on finance theory, which posits that lenders possess private information about borrowers, I hypothesize that lenders price cybersecurity risks into loan contracts. 摘要：This paper presents a model in which investors price risk and a firm makes an investment to reduce its cash flow risk. Subsequently, the firm may or may not privately receive information about the future cash flow, whose disclosure is under its discretion. We show that the equilibrium cash flow precision increases with investor risk aversion, but decreases with the likelihood that the firm has private information and the quality of that information. 摘要：I examine how Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 affects R&D alliance formations and innovation in the drug development industry. ASC 606 alters revenue recognition timing and increases disclosure requirements. I document that firms dependent on R&D alliance revenues accelerate revenue recognition and expand revenue-related disclosures following ASC 606 adoption.
