摘要:Nonparametric procedures are considered for assessing goodness of fit when the data may be subject to random censoring. Two classes of large-sample tests are introduced, based, respectively, on the maximum and average weighted difference between the specified survival function and the Kaplan-Meier estimate of the true survival function. The procedures in the 1st class are inverted to obtain simultaneous confidence bands for the survival and cumulative hazard functions. These bands provide simu...

摘要:In the Koziol-Green (1976) model of random censorship the survival distribution of the censoring variables is some power, the censoring parameter, of the survival distribution of the lifetimes. Using a strong approximation result of Burke, Csorgo and Horvath, empirical exact confidence bands were constructed for the life distribution of the censored variable and a randomly Efron-transformed variant of the usual product-limit process is shown to converge weakly to the Brownian motion process on...

摘要:An estimator is proposed for the convolution of distribution functions, based on samples with some right-censored observations. The asymptotic variance of the estimator is calculated and the method is illustrated with a set of cancer data [i.e., Hodgkin''s disease].

摘要:The paper presents a large sample method for estimating the slope parameter in a linear model by minimizing a loss function related to the empirical cumulant generating function of the error distribution. A family of estimators, indexed by a real parameter, is obtained and consistency and asymptotic normality established. The optimum member of the family is that which has minimum variance with respect to the parameter. This minimization together with a characterization result for the normal di...
