  摘要：We investigate the behavior of the Lasso for selecting invalid instruments in linear instrumental variables models for estimating causal effects of exposures on outcomes, as proposed recently by Kang et al. Invalid instruments are such that they fail the exclusion restriction and enter the model as explanatory variables.   摘要：We consider the problem of estimating the volume of a compact domain in a Euclidean space based on a uniform sample from the domain. We assume that the domain has a boundary with positive reach. We propose a data-splitting approach to correct the bias of the plug-in estimator based on the sample alpha-convex hull.
