摘要:In this paper, we provide a framework of estimates for describing 2D scaling limits by Schramm's SLE curves. In particular, we show that a weak estimate on the probability of an annulus crossing implies that a random curve arising from a statistical mechanics model will have scaling limits and those will be well described by Loewner evolutions with random driving forces. 摘要:We study the asymptotic nature of geometric structures formed from a point cloud of observations of (generally heavy tailed) distributions in a Euclidean space of dimension greater than one. A typical example is given by the Betti numbers of Cech complexes built over the cloud. 摘要:We characterize the possible outliers in the spectrum of large deformed unitarily invariant additive and multiplicative models, as well as the eigenvectors corresponding to them. We allow both the nondeformed unitarily invariant model and the perturbation matrix to have nontrivial limiting eigenvalue distributions and spiked outliers in their spectrum. The free subordination functions play a key role in this analysis.

摘要:A finite ergodic Markov chain exhibits cutoff if its distance to stationarity remains close to 1 over a certain number of iterations and then abruptly drops to near 0 on a much shorter time scale. 摘要:We consider the KPZ equation in one space dimension driven by a stationary centred space-time random field, which is sufficiently integrable and mixing, but not necessarily Gaussian.
