摘要:We consider fluctuations of the largest eigenvalues of the random matrix model A + UBU* where A and B are N x N deterministic Hermitian (or symmetric) matrices and U is a Haar-distributed unitary (or orthogonal) matrix. We prove that the largest eigenvalue weakly converges to the GUE (or GOE) Tracy-Widom distribution, under mild assumptions on A and B to guarantee that the density of states of the model decays as square root around the upper edge. 摘要:We investigate the finite time explosion of the stochastic heat equation (partial derivative u)/(partial derivative t)=Delta u(t,x)+sigma(u(t,x))W-center dot(t,x) in the critical setting where sigma grows like sigma(u)approximate to C(1+|u|(gamma)) and gamma=(3)/(2). 摘要:We show that the vertex-reinforced jump process on the d-dimensional lattice with long-range jumps is transient in any dimension d as long as the initial weights do not decay too fast. The main ingredients in the proof are: an analysis of the corresponding random environment on finite boxes, a comparison with a hierarchical model, and the reduction of the hierarchical model to a nonhomogeneous effective one-dimensional model. 摘要:We formulate and establish the central limit theorem for products of i.i.d. random variables on arbitrary simply connected nilpotent Lie groups, allowing a possible bias. We find that some interesting new phenomena arise in the presence of a bias: the walk spreads out at a higher rate in the ambient group, while the limiting hypoelliptic diffusion process may not always have full support. 摘要:The loop O(n) model is a family of probability measures on collections of nonintersecting loops on the hexagonal lattice, parameterized by a loop-weight n and an edge-weight x. Nienhuis predicts that, for 0 < n <2, the model exhibits two regimes separated by xc (n) = 1/2 + root 2 - n: when x < xc(n), the loop lengths have exponential tails, while when x >= xc(n), the loops are macroscopic. 摘要:Building on previous work on the stochastic analysis for Grassmann random variables, we introduce a forward-backward stochastic differential equation (FBSDE), which provides a stochastic quantisation of Grassmann measures. 摘要:In this paper we continue to rigorously establish the predictions in ground breaking work in statistical physics by Decelle, Krzakala, Moore, Zdeborov & aacute; (Phys. Rev.
