摘要:This article studies the contraction properties of nonlinear differential-algebraic equation (DAE) systems. Such systems typically appear as a singular perturbation reduction of a multiple-time-scale differential system. In addition, a given DAE may result from the reduction of many synthetic differential systems. We show that an important property of a contracting DAE system is that the reduced system always contracts faster than any synthetic counterpart. At the same time, there always exist...

摘要:In this article we introduce an approach for modeling and analyzing collective behavior of a group of agents using moments. We represent the group of agents via their distribution and derive a method to estimate the dynamics of the moments. We use this to predict the evolution of the distribution of agents by first computing the moment trajectories and then use this to reconstruct the distribution of the agents. In the latter an inverse problem is solved in order to reconstruct a nominal distr...

摘要:This article investigates input-to-state stability (ISS) of impulsive delay systems with multiple impulses. We provide sufficient conditions in terms of exponential ISS-Lyapunov functions coupled with Razumikhin-type conditions for establishing the ISS property, where the possibility of the effects of multiple impulses on ISS is fully considered. It shows that when the continuous dynamics are ISS and the discrete dynamics that govern the jumps involve multiple impulses, the ISS property can be...

摘要:We consider the problem of controlling the precision of the multiple-model multiple-hypothesis filter with Gaussian mixture reduction. The controller adaptively chooses the number of hypotheses kept by the filter to (sub)optimally seek a tradeoff between filter precision and computational effort. In order to quantify the approximation error due to hypotheses truncation, the controller employs probability divergence measures such as f-divergences and the Wasserstein divergence. The proposed sol...

摘要:This article is concerned with the distributed optimal control of multiagent systems (MASs) with general linear dynamics. The cooperative tracking model consisting of multiple followers and one leader is constructed. Distributed optimal controllers are presented using the linear quadratic regulator, which guarantee the leader-following consensus of MASs and the optimization of global performance index. The global information of topology is unneeded for solutions of optimization equations. The ...

摘要:This article proposes a relax-and-discretize approach for optimal control of continuous-time differential algebraic systems. It works by relaxing the algebraic equations and penalizing the violation into the objective function using the augmented Lagrangian, which converts the original problem into a sequence of optimal control problems (OCPs) of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The relax-and-discretize approach brings about flexibility, by allowing the OCPs of ODEs to be solved by the ...

摘要:In this article, we deal with the problem of stabilizing a nonlinear system with state-delays by means of quantized sampled-data state feedback control laws. Quantization in the state measurements and in the input signal are simultaneously considered. Fully nonlinear (i.e., possibly nonaffine in the control) time-delay systems are studied. Sufficient conditions are provided such that suitably fast sampling and accurate quantization of the state feedback at hand yield semiglobal practical stabi...

摘要:This article studies the boundary feedback stabilization of a class of diagonal infinite-dimensional boundary control systems. In the studied setting, the boundary control input is subject to a constant delay while the open-loop system might exhibit a finite number of unstable modes. The proposed control design strategy consists of two main steps. First, a finite-dimensional subsystem is obtained by truncation of the original infinite-dimensional system (IDS) via modal decomposition. It includ...

摘要:In this article, we focus on solving a distributed convex optimization problem in a network, where each agent has its own convex cost function and the goal is to minimize the sum of the agents' cost functions while obeying the network connectivity structure. In order to minimize the sum of the cost functions, we consider new distributed gradient-based methods where each node maintains two estimates, namely an estimate of the optimal decision variable and an estimate of the gradient for the ave...

摘要:This article presents algorithms for temporal parallelization of Bayesian smoothers. We define the elements and the operators to pose these problems as the solutions to all-prefix-sums operations for which efficient parallel scan-algorithms are available. We present the temporal parallelization of the general Bayesian filtering and smoothing equations, and specialize them to linear/Gaussian models. The advantage of the proposed algorithms is that they reduce the linear complexity of standard s...
