摘要:In an experiment, an input sequence is applied to an unknown linear time-invariant system (in continuous or discrete time) affected also by an unknown-but-bounded disturbance sequence; the corresponding state sequence (and state derivative sequence, in continuous time) is measured. The goal is to design directly from the input and state sequences a controller that enforces a certain performance specification on the transient behavior of the unknown system. The performance specification is expr...

摘要:This article considers two-dimensional (2-D) uncertain systems with homogeneous or mixed dynamics, and addresses the following three problems: establishing robust structural stability, computing robust structural stability margins, and determining the maximum uncertainty amplification that preserves robust structural stability. Two sufficient linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are proposed for establishing robust structural stability obtained by introducing an equivalent closed-loop com...

摘要:This article studies the problem of deception attacks against remote state estimation from an information perspective. The Kullback-Leibler divergence between the compromised innovation and nominal one is utilized as the stealthiness measure. Without presupposing a linear attack model, the optimal attack policy that can cause maximum performance loss and deceive the false data detector is derived. For both attacks with strict and relaxed stealthiness, the optimal compromised innovation, which ...

摘要:This article presents an approach based on the Nyquist plot to analyze the mean-square stability of a networked control system in which data transmission is subject to the occur-rence of packet losses. This result is obtained by translating well-known linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions for mean-square stability to conditions that take the form of upper bounds on the H8 norms of the sensitivity and complementary sensitivity trans-fer matrices. Although the results obtained provide only s...

摘要:This article investigates the design of online stealthy attacks with the aim of moving the system's state to the desired target. Different from the design of offline attacks, which is only based on the system's model, to design the online attack, the attacker also estimates the system's state with the intercepted data at each instant and computes the optimal attack accordingly. To ensure stealthiness, the Kullback-Leibler divergence between the innovations with and without attacks at each inst...

摘要:This article proposes a specification-guided framework for control of nonlinear systems with linear temporal logic (LTL) specifications. In contrast with well-known abstraction-based methods, the proposed framework directly characterizes the winning set, i.e., the set of initial conditions from which a given LTL formula can be realized, over the continuous state space of the system via a monotonic operator. Following this characterization, an algorithm is proposed to practically approximate th...

摘要:This article presents an adaptive hybrid feedback control law for global asymptotic tracking of a hybrid reference system for marine vehicles in the presence of parametric modeling errors. The reference system is constructed from a parameterized loop and a speed assignment specifying the motion along the path, which decouples the geometry of the path from the motion along the path. During flows, the hybrid feedback consists of a proportional-derivative action and an adaptive feedforward term, ...

摘要:Industrial applications of extremum seeking control (ESC) can be a hit and miss affair. Although a gain in performance can be achieved, the dither applied to excite the system causes unwanted fluctuations in the performance of the system. The fluctuations in systems with a single extremum seeking loop are generally small. However, for systems with many extremum seeking loops, the fluctuations in each loop may add up to an intolerable amount of fluctuation in the total performance. In this arti...

摘要:This article studies the Bayesian filtering problem for nonlinear systems with heavy-tailed noises. Because of the nonlinearity and heavy tail characteristics, the Gaussian distribution or particle sets may fail to express the posterior probability density distribution; thus, the progressive Bayesian filtering framework is proposed. With the filtering framework, the measurement update is divided into several steps, and the intermediate posterior distributions are chosen as the importance propo...

摘要:The Banach-Picard iteration is widely used to find fixed points of locally contractive (LC) maps. This article extends the Banach-Picard iteration to distributed settings; specifically, we assume the map of which the fixed point is sought to be the average of individual (not necessarily LC) maps held by a set of agents linked by a communication network. An additional difficulty is that the LC map is not assumed to come from an underlying optimization problem, which prevents exploiting strong g...
