摘要:Dynamical systems that are contracting on a subspace are said to be semicontracting. Semicontraction theory is a useful tool in the study of consensus algorithms and dynamical flow systems such as Markov chains. To develop a comprehensive theory of semicontracting systems, we investigate seminorms on vector spaces and define two canonical notions: Projection and distance seminorms. We show that the well-known l(p) ergodic coefficients are induced matrix seminorms and play a central role in sta...

摘要:In this article, we study linearly constrained policy optimization over the manifold of Schur stabilizing controllers, equipped with a Riemannian metric that emerges naturally in the context of optimal control problems. We provide extrinsic analysis of a generic constrained smooth cost function that subsequently facilitates subsuming any such constrained problem into this framework. By studying the second-order geometry of this manifold, we provide a Newton-type algorithm that does not rely on...

摘要:In this article, we formulate feedback control problems involving stochastic systems and stochastic signals and obtain stability conditions based on the notions called gains and angles. The family of systems under investigation is represented by a discrete-time linear time-varying stochastic (LTVS) model, which generalizes the intensively studied multiplicative stochastic model. Such formulation may incorporate widely encountered networked control problems involving fading and packet-drop comm...

摘要:Distributed optimization of multiagent systems over uniform hypergraphs is considered in this article. Given a global objective function in advance, an ideal design method of utility functions for each agent is put forward to convert a multiagent system into a budget-balanced potential network game (BBPNG) with the preassigned objective function as its potential function. First, the verification of BBPNGs is simplified to verify whether its fundamental network game is a budget-balanced potenti...

摘要:This article establishes the explicit formulas for the equivalence between fault detection filters and observers. The method relies on solving a Sylvester equation, the Schur decomposition, and algebraic manipulations. The equivalence being demonstrated valid from a generic point of view, it is shown that H-infinity,H_,H-2,and H-2g robust residual generators and H-infinity\mu fault estimators are particular cases. A numerical example and a realistic satellite's example illustrate the equivalen...

摘要:We analyze a case study of output-feedback stabilization of an unobservable equilibrium. The problem involves achieving two conflicting goals: to estimate the unmeasured states, for which the system must a priori operate in an oscillatory regime, and to stabilize an equilibrium asymptotically. To overcome this quandary we propose a novel hybrid controller that generates a piecewise constant dwindling reference designed to make the system operate in an oscillatory, yet asymptotically stable, re...

摘要:Synchronization of large-scale Boolean networks (BNs) is studied in this article. Using semi-tensor product of matrices, the algebraic structure of all subnetworks' relationships is constructed. A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for synchronization of large-scale BNs. For those asynchronous large-scale BNs, pinning control is first applied to achieve the control objective, including choosing the subnetworks to be controlled, by designing the corresponding feedback control accord...

摘要:In this article, we consider the finite horizon filtering problem of discrete-time Markov jump systems (MJS). In the first part, we consider an MJS satisfying some general nonlinear conditions. It is obtained, for a fixed set of auxiliary constants, filter gains, based on a set of coupled Riccati-like difference equations, that yield a minimum upper bound for the estimation error covariance matrix. When the nonlinear parameters are set to zero, the MJS becomes a Markov jump linear system (MJLS...

摘要:This work deals with the distributed Byzantine-resilient observer (DBRO) design problem for continuous-time high-order integrator multiagent systems on directed graphs, which intends to estimate the leader states accurately in a finite-time interval. A new kind of edge-based DBRO is first formulated for the followers to estimate each order of the nonautonomous leader's state, which is implemented in a cascading manner. Then, the finite-time zero-error estimation performance of the above DBRO i...

摘要:This article presents a dynamic model of multiple self-propelled particles with a periodic controller inspired by the intermittent locomotive behavior in various fish species. The closed-loop dynamics are split into a burst phase during which each particle applies a control input and a coast phase during which each particle performs state estimation. This model allows us to investigate how having nonoverlapping sensing and control affects a system's ability to achieve collective behavior such ...
