摘要:In this article, we consider solving the distributed optimization problem over a multiagent network under the communication restricted setting. We study a compressed decentralized stochastic gradient method, termed compressed exact diffusion with adaptive stepsizes (CEDAS), and show that the method asymptotically achieves comparable convergence rate as centralized stochastic gradient descent (SGD) for both smooth strongly convex objective functions and smooth nonconvex objective functions unde...

摘要:This study addresses the intricate challenge of decentralized output-feedback control for stochastic non-triangular nonlinear interconnected systems with unknown time-varying sensor sensitivity in a dynamic event-triggered context. The presence of stochastic disturbances, non-triangular structural uncertainties, and evolving sensor sensitivity distinguishes this problem of global asymptotic stability from conventional event-triggered control scenarios. Existing event-triggered control approach...

摘要:This article studies the security issue of malicious attackers degrading remote estimation by injecting false data into sensors in cyber-physical systems. The typical attacks involve initially proposing a parameterized pattern, such as a linear one, then optimizing parameters according to system performance. The parameterized model limits the destructivity because it cannot cover all patterns. To overcome this, we investigate a generalized deception attack model with an unparameterized form. T...

摘要:Networked multiagent systems often communicate information over low-power shared wireless networks in unlicensed spectrum, which are prone to denial-of-service attacks. An instance of this scenario is considered: multiple pairs of agents, each pair consisting of a transmitting sensor and a receiver acting as an estimator, communicate strategically over shared communication networks in the presence of a jammer who may launch a denial-of-service attack in the form of packet collisions. Using the...

摘要:In this article, we study the optimal control problem for steering the state covariance of a discrete-time linear stochastic system over a finite time horizon. First, we establish the existence and uniqueness of the optimal control law for a quadratic cost function. Then, we show the separation of the optimal mean and the covariance steering problems. We also develop efficient computational methods to solve for the optimal control law, which is identified as the solution to a semidefinite prog...

摘要:Linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems, which have dynamics that vary according to a scheduling parameter, are capable of representing a wide variety of nonlinear and time-varying dynamics. The LPV paradigm preserves well-understood linear design methods, although the stability analysis of these systems has remained difficult. In a recent paper, it is shown that under some stringent conditions, a linear continuous-time gain-scheduled output feedback controller can be designed to provide closed...

摘要:This article introduces two sample-based formulations of incremental input/output-to-state stability (i-IOSS), a suitable detectability notion for general nonlinear systems. In this work, we consider the case of limited output information, i.e., measurements are only infrequently and/or irregularly available. The output-dependent term of the sample-based i-IOSS bound is properly modified to yield a characterization for detectability in the presence of incomplete output sequences. We provide bo...

摘要:In this article, we employ a policy iteration reinforcement learning (RL) method to study continuous-time linear-quadratic mean-field control problems in infinite horizon. The drift and diffusion terms in the dynamics involve the states, the controls, and their conditional expectations. We investigate the stabilizability and convergence of the RL algorithm using a Lyapunov recursion. Instead of solving a pair of coupled Riccati equations, the RL technique focuses on strengthening an auxiliary ...

摘要:The discrete-time, infinite-horizon linear quadratic regulator (LQR) is studied with the objective of establishing a unified perspective on the problem by relying simultaneously on Dynamic Programming and the discrete Minimum Principle. While it is well known that the two strategies independently yield the optimal solution, it is shown here that their combination provides much deeper insights on the nature of the optimal solution and on the strategies by means of which it can be computed. More...

摘要:As networked control systems continue to evolve, ensuring the privacy of sensitive data becomes an increasingly pressing concern, especially in situations where the controller is physically separated from the plant. In this article, we propose a secure control scheme for computing linear quadratic control in a networked control system utilizing two networked controllers, a privacy encoder, and a control restorer. Specifically, the encoder generates two state signals blurred with random noise a...
