摘要:We consider a problem where a firm produces a variety of fresh products to supply two markets: an export market and a local market. 摘要:Online customers expect to wait, sometimes for a delay of many days. At the fulfillment center, there might be an opportunity to fill customer orders earlier than the due date through a cross-docking transaction: rather than picking the item from inventory, the item moves directly from the receiving to the shipping dock, saving shelving and picking transactions. 摘要:This article examines the effect of product development restructuring (PDR) on shareholder value. The results are based on a sample of 165 announcements made during 2002-2011. PDR announcements are associated with an economically and statistically significant positive stock market reaction. Over a two-day period (the day of the announcement and the day preceding the announcement), the mean (median) market reaction is 1.63% (0.87%).
