摘要:We study the internationalization of digital service multinational enterprises (SMNCs), focusing on how digitalization alters internalization theory's assumptions about the nature of firm-specific assets (FSAs) and the theory's predictions about governance choices in cross-border transactions. 摘要:We investigate the role of local labor standards on MNEs' location decisions across different sectors and sub-national regions within a developing country. We suggest that foreign investors adopt selective location strategies in connection with specific labor standards as a result of reputational and operating considerations. 摘要:We investigate private firms' ability to identify and replace poorly performing managers across countries. We document three main findings. First, private firms are more likely to retain poorly performing managers in countries where legal institutions that protect minority investors are weak. 摘要:We extend internalization theory by examining the contingencies associated with market internalization and its impact on foreign subsidiary survival. Based on a sample of 6170 subsidiary-year observations in 63 countries belonging to 292 MNCs from Korea during 1995-2013, we find that greater product and labor market internalization have weaker impacts on the survival of subsidiaries operating in countries with more developed institutional environments but stronger for subsidiaries of MNCs affi...
