Nikolaus Franke, Karen Gedenk, Katrin Talke, and Jörn Schoenberger combine the leading journal rankings into a single meta-rating.
A meta-rating does not provide an independent evaluation of journals. Instead, it transparently integrates existing international journal ratings that are current, valid, and widely used. By combining multiple journal ratings, the measurement errors inherent in individual ratings are reduced, making the resulting meta-rating more valid and robust than any single rating alone.
