UNIDO Climate Adaptation and Industrial Resilience Forum Banner v2

Why This Forum Matters

The UNIDO Climate Adaptation and Industrial Resilience Forum 2026 is a global meeting point for governments, industry, finance, and innovation partners to put climate adaptation at the heart of industrial development. Anchored in UNIDO’s Climate Action Plan 2025–2029, it focuses on practical solutions that keep factories running, protect jobs, and strengthen value chains as climate risks intensify.

Held in Vienna in February 2026, the Forum will be one of the first international platforms to convene after COP30 to turn new adaptation commitments into real‑economyindustrial strategies and projects.

2026 Focus

The Forum is structured around three key themes:

  • Innovation - Climate Adaptation Innovation for a Resilient Industry, showcasing scalable technologies and business models from industry, MSMEs, andclimate entrepreneurs.
  • Inclusion  - Inclusive and Locally Led Climate Adaptation, highlighting locallydefined priorities, agency, and accountability to ensure industrial adaptation benefitscommunities most affected by climate change.
  • Investment – Translating adaptation priorities into investable, implementableindustrial resilience action, with grants‑based and highly concessional public financeat the core and complementary private investment helping to scale solutions.
