Dear all,
The Administrative Board and Council of the European Economic Association have approved the introduction of submission fees for papers submitted to JEEA starting February 1, 2026.
This introduction will help ensure the long-term sustainability of JEEA's editorial processes, including the continued development and support of our data editorial team, and to further improve its overall quality.
Submission Fee Policy:
- Submitters (defined as the person making the submission) have to be members of EEA.
- A standard submission fee of €100 will apply.
- The fee is waived if the submitting author and all coauthors are based in low-or middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank classification here.
- The fee covers the processing of a single manuscript and remains valid for the full duration of the review, up to the final editorial decision.
- Submission fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including papers rejected without review.
Submission fees will be charged in accordance with applicable European VAT regulations. Payment is made directly through your EEA membership profile at the time of submission.
If you have any questions, please contact the EEA central office through admin@eeassoc.org
Best wishes,
Antonio Cabrales
EEA Executive Vice-President
