Today, on the sidelines of the Russia–Saudi Arabia Business Forum – a key platform for developing bilateral partnership in priority sectors of the economy, science, technology, and investment – a series of official signings took place. The event is being held as part of the 9th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Russian–Saudi Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation.
The following documents were signed: an Intergovernmental Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for holders of all types of passports; a Memorandum of Understanding on Climate Change and Low-Carbon Development; and a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Archives.
These documents are aimed at further strengthening cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia and enhancing collaboration across a number of key areas.
The co-organizers of the Forum from the Russian side were the Roscongress Foundation, the Russian–Saudi and Russian–Arab Business Councils, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The Forum brought together representatives of government authorities, development institutions, and leading companies from both countries.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was officially announced as the Guest Country of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026.
