摘要:
In breeding experiments on albino Pekinese and black Pomeranians, dogs were produced with pale gray or buff coats due to diffuse pigment, which the authors term Cornaz albinos; also piebald Cornaz and white, which they term skewbald. Two white albinos never gave rise to dogs with dark eyes but could give rise to Cornaz albinos. Two Cornazes never produced dogs with dark eyes; but in one case Cornaz skewbald X white albino produced dogs with pigmented coats and dark eyes. The simple Mendelian theory and Bateson''s ((?, G'') hypothesis are found inapplicable. We are not yet prepared to accept an atom-like identity in the spermatogonia of an organism, i.e., that an identical factorial formula is all they contribute to inheritance..
