The hypothesis that there is randomness within a sequence of alternatives is to be tested against the field of alternate hypotheses that the dependence is of the type in simple Markoff chains. A conditional power function formula is obtained for sequences of [gamma]1 E''s and [gamma]2''Es arranged in k sets. The function is plotted for a few typical sequences.
