Constructions are given for completely orthogonal squares of side,any prime number or 4 or 8. It is pointed out that these make possible introduction of n + 1 factors all at n levels in an expt. involving n2 plots, but that all degrees of freedom for one main effect are confounded with 1st-order interactions. Orthogonal constructions in 3 and more dimensions are given, together with the properties of the corresponding exptl. designs.
