The Jordan Trade and Logistics Performance Gateway enables real-time identification of bottlenecks, accelerates reforms, and measures their impact instantly. It also empowers traders with full supply chain visibility for smarter, faster, and more cost-efficient trade.

Inaugurated by the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, the Jordan Trade & Logistics Performance Gateway transforms over 1 billion records from more than 40 agencies into 1,500 real-time performance indicators and 450 interactive dashboards. It provides traders and officials with instant visibility to simplify procedures, cut costs and delays, and strengthen Jordan’s competitiveness.

The launch ceremony in Amman brought together over 250 participants, including, the Director General of Jordan Customs, General Ahmad Al-Akalik, senior government officials, heads of agencies, and leading private sector representatives.

"This platform marks a new chapter in Jordan’s economic transformation. By turning massive volumes of data into actionable insights, we are building a more transparent, efficient, and competitive trade environment."——Sami Smeirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship

The minister added that the collective effort behind the platform ‘will empower decision-makers, strengthen the private sector, and position Jordan as a regional leader in trade and logistics.’

A second launch event in Aqaba on 29 September, Jordan’s strategic logistics hub, was held in partnership with Jordan Customs and Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA). Over 130 participants from public institutions, the private sector, and international partners attended the event. Discussions highlighted the Gateway’s concrete role in reinforcing Aqaba as a centre for investment, trade, and connectivity.

Both events earned high praise from partners and stakeholders, who hailed the Gateway as a model of innovation and collaboration that will deliver long-lasting benefits to Jordan’s economy and business community.

Connecting the dots in Jordan trade

For businesses, this initiative is more than a digital platform, it is a game-changer. Automated insights replace months-long studies, enabling immediate reforms and translating into reduced costs, improved predictability, and easier access to new markets.

The Jordan Trade & Logistics Performance Gateway links government bodies, ports, customs, and private operators on a single platform, fostering collaboration that directly benefits traders. In short, it equips Jordan’s business community with the data needed to compete smarter, ship faster, and seize new opportunities in global markets.

The Gateway is the result of a strong partnership between ITC, Jordan Customs, GIZ Jordan, and national stakeholders, with funding support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
