摘要:
Twelve visual tests were administered to 3 employee groups. The groups, equated on amt. of schooling but differing in first aid records, were an accident-free group, a high-frequency-of-minor-accident group, and a serious-injury group. The complete set of tests given are incorporated in the Bausch and Lomb ortho-rater. Judging from critical ratios, the accident-free group was superior to the other 2 groups in 7 of the 12 tests. Not a single critical ratio met the criterion (2.03) for significant difference between the high-frequency and serious-injury groups. This latter finding tends to support the thesis that a present serious-accident case is often the previous high-frequency case.
