摘要:
This longitudinal study examined the impact that chief executive officer succession had on changes in the structures and strategy-making processes of some large corporations. The results indicate that succession events tended to be followed by a diffusion of authority and, in the context of poor performance, by increased organizational information processing. New leadership was also associated with change, regardless of direction, in most of the dimensions of structure and process assessed.
